The gallery displays stone sculptures made by the sculptor David Yas'ur, and is open for groups and individual visitors
A new art gallery includes stone sculptures by artist David Yas'ur has recently opened in Moshav Sde Eliezer in the Upper Galilee.
The workshop is located at edge of the Moshav, amidst apple and pomegranate orchards, with a background of the views of the Hula Valley and the mountains of the Galilee, the Golan Heights and the Hermon. Visitors will be able to view a variety of the artist's works, including sculptures for homes and gardens, water basins, Judaica pieces, ancient tools and a special rock collection. The place also holds stone workshops and guided tours for groups of tourists and visitors. Guidance is in Hebrew and in English, and includes a tour of the gallery, a lecture given by the artist on the subject of the connection to views of Israel, to nature and to the environment, a demonstration of splitting a basalt rock with the participation of the audience and refreshments.
Sculptor David Yas'ur is considered to be multidisciplinary, and his pieces are on display in public places and in private collections. He participates in one-man exhibitions as well as group exhibitions in Israel and around the world. His works, combining basalt stones, is inspired by ancient cultures that lived in the area and by the ancient Jewish tradition of Israel. For details call: 04-6935838.
