The service is designed for tourists that are ending their stay in Israel and are interested in combining a visit to the park, which displays miniature models, before leaving the country A new time-saving pre flight service for the comfort of tourists has recently opened in the Mini Israel site near Latrun. The service is given to tourists visiting the site near the end of their tour of Israel, combining a tourist experience with solutions to flight preparation. The service is intended for people flying in any of El Al's outbound flights and includes ticket and passport control, security checks, luggage weighing, delivering boarding passes, luggage checkin and transporting the luggage to Ben Guryon airport. This significantly reduces the amount of time required of tourists to arrive at the airport before the flight, and they will be able to reach passport control only 55 minutes before takeoff. The time saved can be used to tour the Mini Israel site, concluding their visit to Israel. The Mini Israel site is located in Latrun, in the Ayalon Valley. It spans over an area of 30,000 square meters, and displays over 360 models of well known and important sites, structures and locations in Israel. Exhibits, at a scale of 1:25, include sites that represent all religions, historical, archeological and cultural sites, industrial displays and nature sites. Among all these are 30,000 figures and vehicles that display life in Israel with motion, color and sound. The park also has 20,000 miniature trees, and is a one-of-a-kind botanical garden in Israel. The "Mini Israel" site is an official site for hosting VIPs such as ambassadors and senior guests from all over the world. Each year, about half a million visitors and guests come to this site, and it is the largest and most advanced of the 45 similar parks scattered around the world.
