Med Red Rally in Stages from Israel to Egypt and Turkey

   

The Med Red Rally will take place during May and June, with the participation of dozens of colorful yachts, which will sail from the Hertzliya and Tel Aviv shores to destinations in the Red Sea and in the Mediterranean The Med Red Rally will start this year on May 8th, as part of Israel's 60th anniversary celebrations. The first yachts will sail at 11:00, leaving the Hertzliya marina. Later it will join the Navy's salutation sail. Tourists, holidaymakers and the residents of Tel Aviv will be able to observe the ships from the Tel Aviv's promenade area at around 13:00. On May 10th the second string of yachts will leave the Tel Aviv marina towards the shores of Egypt. Participating boats will sail along the Sini Peninsula to the Suez Canal. There, participants will take guided tours of the cities Port Said, Alexandria and Cairo. Later, the yachts will sail through the Red Sea and Sharm el Sheikh to the city of Eilat, from which they will leave heading back through the same route. On their way back the teams will visit additional tourist routes in Egypt, tour through hiking routes in the Sini Desert and head for dives on the deep sea. When the Med Red Rally will reach its destination in Hertzliya, its participants will leave for a tour of Israel and Jordan, including Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Nazareth and Petra. The third stage of the rally will start on June 6th, leaving the Hertzliya marina towards Turkey. During this stage, participants will visit coastal cities in Turkey, go on hikes and participate in extreme activities. The rally will end with a festive event which will take place on the 19th of June, in Marmaris.
