Will Celebrate its Bar Mitzvah at the Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv.
The festival takes place for the 13th time, presenting dozens of Israeli food brands. During the festival, visitors may enjoy events and get to know an abundance of restaurants and food booths in a variety of flavors
The annual food festival "Ta'am HaIr" (City Taste) will be held on 4 nights between May 26th-29th 2008 at the Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv.
The festival, initiated by the Tel Aviv city municipality, is sponsored by the "HaIr" (The City) newspaper, and is second in size only to the Chicago food festival. The festival presents 60 years of Israeli culinary. Within this framework, the organizers have arranged for a display paying homage to Israel's food industry.
During each of the festival's evenings, there will dance and musical events, during which 250 dancers will dance, there will be parades with colorful costumes as well as street theaters and musical performances by different musical groups.
This year the festival will host around 100 different restaurants and food booths.
At the same time, the public will be offered organic food products, unique cheeses, exotic fruits, herbs and spices, hand made pastries and breads, confitures,
olive oil, wines, smoked meat, chocolate products, health food and
ethnic foods.
