|
The exhibit deals with questions related to the complexity of the human brain and its function in combining new research about thought, memory and man's functions. The "Brainworks" exhibit displayed at the Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem includes six studies that deal with the ways the brain works, and with finding cures for brain related conditions. The studies were made as part of the Blue Brain Project, an international project of research groups that aim to jointly create the human brain's thinking power. The studies are displayed to the public in a popular fashion using multimedia and three-dimensioned models. The "Brainworks" exhibit gives a peak into the complexity of the human brain and its activity. Visitors are exposed to topics related to the functioning of the brain and to treating problems created by its activity. At the same time, the museum also holds two additional displays that deal with the functioning of the brain, including the exhibit "Illusions - Mind-boggling!" This is a colorful display for the entire family, with dozens of interactive exhibits that introduce the processes and principles of the brain. There is also the "Neurons Landscapes" display, which brings up-to-date photos of the brain, selected from hundreds of photos that were sent by laboratories and research centers throughout the world.
