The state of Israel is celebrating its 60th birthday on May 2008. To mark that special occasion various events will take place in several locations.

The list of events and activities includes an achievements exhibition in the Negev, Galilee, Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, A mobile exhibit for the whole family that will be presented in 60 locations from Metula in the North to Eilat in the south, A 60 kilometers long bicycle trail that will be paved from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, Free entrance for children to national parks and reserves during April-June 2008 and a soccer game between the Israeli national team and one of the top European soccer teams.

On Israel's Independence Day, Entertainers will perform on stages throughout the country. The film "We are all together", which includes historical milestones of Zionism, will be screened simultaneously on those stages.

A spectacular Laser show combined with music and lighting will take place on Independence Day's eve. This show can be views from several locations around Israel. An independence party for teenagers will be held on Friday, May 13th, at Hayarkon Park in Tel-Aviv and will include music and dancing.

These events and others will make this year especially festive for visitors and travelers. This is an exceptional opportunity for tourists from around the globe, to come and visit Israel this year.
