The "Voices from the Monasteries of Georgia" Concert Will Take Place in the Abbey of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Jerusalem | |

This event is part of a series of concerts taking place in Jerusalem and in the Galilee, combined with guided tours. The "Voices from the Monasteries of Georgia" concert will take place in the Abbey of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Jerusalem on January 5th 2008. The men quartet from Healer St Panteleimon church will perform, and there will also be a performance of the women's' choir Vocalisa. The program will include liturgics psalms and Georgian folk music, as well as a vocal celebration for a women's choir and an organ by Fauré. At the end of the concert there will be a guided tour on the subject of "monastery, kings and a broken heart" in the Monastery of the Cross and the Valley of the Cross in Jerusalem.
